South Africa! My Rainbow Nation of Black and White, and something in between?

The dawn of Africa!

The Motherland!! Such a beaut! With your golden sunrises and fiery sunsets. Rolling mountains of green nature and seas just as blue as the skies above. We are a country of multi-colour people who speak multi-colour languages. We are so beautiful!

So why do we divide our beauty into unfair categories and the "eye for an eye" policies. We have written History books for the world to receive but instead use to tear down one person to the next. We strive to be glorious while building bridges with the bones of our enemies. We take but never give because "we are privileged to more!"

I don't understand why we can't just give and not expect anything in return. In order for us to right our wrongs, we need to become our enemy to make things better? When Gandhi said, "and eye for an eye makes the whole world blind", this is what he meant. We have beautiful land and beautiful people in this country to enjoy it with but instead of joining hands and making it more prosperous, we have turned this country into a failing economy with enemies for friends.

When will we learn two wrongs will never make a right!

Tonight I'm going to sit on my porch and watch the sunset. Believing that there is still hope. And that we can love again!
